- Yes! Our platform is completely free for both individual volunteers and nonprofit organizations. We believe in removing barriers to community service.
- Do I need to create an account to browse opportunities?
- No, you can browse volunteer opportunities and community events without creating an account. However, you will need to create an account to apply.
For Volunteers
- How do I apply for a volunteer opportunity?
- First, create a volunteer account. Once you're signed in and have verified your email address, you can browse opportunities and click the "Apply Now" button on any listing.
- Why do I need to verify my email address?
- To ensure the safety and trust of our community, we require all volunteers to verify their email address before applying. This helps prevent spam and ensures organizations can reach you.
- Can I save opportunities for later?
- Yes! When you're logged in, you can click the "Save" button on any opportunity to add it to your dashboard. This is a great way to keep track of positions you're interested in.
- Do I need any specific skills?
- Not necessarily! While some opportunities might require specific skills (which will be listed in the description), many positions welcome volunteers of all experience levels. There's something for everyone.
For Organizations
- How can my organization join?
- Register for an organization account via the "Sign Up" page. Once your account is set up, you can start posting volunteer opportunities immediately.
- What types of organizations can post opportunities?
- We welcome registered charities, non-profit organizations, community groups, schools, and other mission-driven organizations. If you're unsure whether your organization qualifies, please contact us.
- How do I post a volunteer opportunity?
- Once logged in to your organization account, navigate to your dashboard and click "Post Opportunity." Fill out the form with details about the position, requirements, and how volunteers can apply. Your posting will be visible to potential volunteers once submitted.
- Can I edit or remove a posted opportunity?
- Yes, you can edit or remove your volunteer opportunities at any time through your organization dashboard. Simply find the opportunity you want to modify and click the edit or delete button.
- How do I update my organization's profile or delete my account?
- Log in to your organization account and navigate to your dashboard. From there, you can access your profile settings to update your organization's description, contact information, logo, and other details to help volunteers learn more about your mission. If you need to delete your account, you'll also find that option in your dashboard settings.
Community Events
- What's the difference between volunteer opportunities and community events?
- Volunteer opportunities are ongoing or recurring positions where you can contribute your time and skills. Community events are specific, time-bound activities like fundraisers, festivals, workshops, or social gatherings that anyone can attend or participate in.
- Can I submit a community event?
- Yes! Click the "Submit Event" button on the Community Events page. Fill out the event details including date, time, location, and description. Events are reviewed before being published to ensure they're relevant to the community.
- Do I need to register for events?
- Registration requirements vary by event. Check the event details page for specific information about registration, tickets, or RSVPs. Some events are drop-in, while others may require advance registration.
